Let's hope Ubi doesn't fuck this up, like most of their recent PC games (though R6V was great).

We played submarine games many times now, when do they start do something new and allow us to control the warships aswell? much more fun imo. Specially in multiplayer.
But how many "newer" games allow us to control warships? now many. I only know Battlestations but its a little to arcadey.

Actually the developer considered that option, adding control of warships. But they decided against it as it would have taken too long. But they said basically it's possible to add that, but maybe in an addon. (source is a german mag with an interview)

Silent Hunter 2 could be played vs. that Warship game made by the same people.
Destroyer command or something like that.
They're talking about making a warship game to play vs SH4 too.
I hate you.

Check out this site. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9091085392/m/6141036534
Yea it is a collection of mods, but dam sweet...it looks and feels more like a real "Das Boot" sim now...not that it dint do that before, but the "Grey Wolves" mod takes it to another level I would say. This game is still feels dam fresh. Been at it for the best part of the morning here
Just found this short description on FP Quote: | Comprising the best of the Silent Hunter III-community mods, The Grey Wolves is a one-stop bonanza that is easily the most comprehensive and complete package ever created for Silent Hunter III. Developed by a talented and dedicated crew of sub-sim enthusiasts, Grey Wolves is the be-all, end-all of SH3 mods -- largely because it incorporates every enhancement of consequence the game has witnessed to date. Some of these mods repair problems with the original simulation, while others enhance the core SH3 gaming experience with value-added content worthy of a payware expansion pack. After only a few hours, you'll understand why the TGW 1.1a supermod is all you'll ever need to maximize your enjoyment of this award-winning submarine simulation.

It can be set to automated aim. You only have to lock the target in your sight, the rest is done by your crew Not an option but, if you want to play it "realistic"
