Heh, I say NO !
I've learned a few things in my life thus far, one is that things will get better sooner or later. ALWAYS. 100% sure.
For every shit that has happened to me, something great is just around the corner. I'm talking about money, girls, friends, health, school whatever, even PC gaming, lol ! It always gets better, just the way it is. And bad things happening make you appreciate the good things in life.

Couldn't put it better.
Everyone go through a rough time, and shit happens to everyone. But losing hope and motivation to go on is even worse.

I believe in some sort of karma, all actions you do in life will have reproductions...good or bad, well thats another discussion, but basically you are in charge of your own actions, and there is always a good/bad side to that. You will bounce back man...one always do, then the crap start to happen again and so on...This is in my book a good thing, as you learn and get experience...basically thats just life.

It's better to set a goal too high and miss, than it is to set a goal too low and hit.

Well as part of my new job immunity I had to attend a few seminars this week. One of them was on positive thinking. It said that if you continually think you'll fail, guess what. You'll fail.
You need to set yourself goals.

My vast experience tells me that usually behing those complaints hides an attention whore and the problem is merely some bad marks at school or parents refusing to buy that new 42" LCD for the X360.

I disagree Voddy. I know some people who try hard. Yet always get kicked in the teeth. Yet others sit on their backsides and get everything on a plate.

Those that try, get kicked, get up and try again almost never whine on forums...

bein' an attention whore is a sign of weakness. a man should be a man not a whining baby, no matter how hard life or whatever is for him.

No you think men should be emotionless automatons?
Are you yourself totally devoid of emotions?

Jen, why are you such a maximalist? I've never said a man should hide ALL his emotions. You should laugh, cry, grieve etc. but in different situations. Whining about how hard life is - that's weakness. That's a subject that should be stored inside. Or you can share with someone close. That's how a man is supposed to behave - he must be strong and self-assured.
I guess my views are bit old-fashioned as I understand quite well that in modern Europe there's role swapping between men and women under way just like in Japan before. Women are strong and hard working - men are whining pussies spending days in front of their PCs and consoles. And that ain't my fantasy or lucky guess - there's enough studies and pubications (NON-RUSSIAN) out there about that problem.

Hehe! Well I've never seen my other half cry. But at the same time I think we all have the same emotions. We're no different when it comes to the crunch.

@Vodka First off - I don't own a console, nor will I ever. Nice try though
Secondly, kicking the shit out of somebody when they're already down isn't too noble or manly either in my opinion. Maybe its different in Russia and Eastern Europe. I try not to rely on vodka and redbull too much to get through day and be able to sleep at night. Low blow, sorry heh.
I don't post on here often man, and I certainly ain't seeking "attention". Just venting and perhaps looking for a few words of wisdom is all. No more and no less than anyone else is entitled to - this is the Bitching Section after all.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

No offence there, mate. But they say that sometimes a good smack on the face is better than a thousand words of compassion, pitying and all that stuff that make you feel sorry for yourself even more.

Life sucks then you die.
Life's great then you die.
It's all what you make of it, but in a way vodka is right, despite his callus approach. Bitching about how hard it is doesn't make it better. Accepting life is hard and you'll get fucked at every turn will lead you down 2 different possible paths. One being that you just accept it and truck on with a meaningless, deft existence and the other, more exuberant, is that you try and do your best to conquer whatever the fuck life can throw at you, and though you may not win every battle, enjoying life itself will win the war.
