Serious Sam but dead guys and decent graphics and survival? Just lots of killing shit? Sounds fucking wicked.

Mindless shooters can be really fun if done right, and this definitely has some potential. Sounds fun!

It was disappointing. The hyperlinearity of the gameplay killed it (not to mention the scripting and idiotic spawning of 58932 enemies). But I gotta say, graphics, story and characters was great.

yep hope they dont script this at all, always ruins games. I also hope they use a different engine or fix the 8800gtx bugs.

And I just wanted to add, I don't mind linearity when it fits the environment. But Call of Juarez mostly took place out in the open... but still you were forced to take an exact place through valleys and towns.

Well, I wasn't a fan of the spawning. But i still think it was a great game, with cool atmosphere and story.

You got a little freedom when you was riding that horse after you climbed that mountain.

Not much at all when you think about it, even on the horse you had to follow a very specific path.

pffft... you could ride around in circles and then quit the game... weee.

No, I get your point. I still think it was a great game. Something new. The only game you can compare (to PC afaik) would be outlaws, and even that was a very different game.

Its much better than those spammed sch-fi FPSes...

Well that's normal level design, 99% of all games are like that. The player follows a certain path through the game. What's wrong with that? Everything else would have been stupid in the case of CoJ. Linearity was the best way to tell the great story. Imo CoJ had the right amount of freedom - the horse riding, the rabbit hunt, the mountain climbing all this gave me at least the illusion of freedom. Partly it felt a bit like Far Cry here and there. I don't understand why do you want more freedom in such a game, how should that work? Like Gun? Imo CoJ was way better than Gun.

Linear = better story
Non linear = weak/no story
