Ya so wondering if it's worth the play, I got wind it has online co-op which is rare in games anymore, I mean it's not like im paying for it and im not entirely a fan of rating games by sites, but more from here as most of you know games better than sites. so is it at least worth the time playing?

well damnit, me and my buddy ran out of co-op games to play online. We beat Vegas which was disappointing in story mode. Dungeon Siege II just got too long and didnt feel like getting into the expansion

Serious Sam 2 is very good in Co-op. Just sad I completed it alone first time.
Also played GRAW1 in Co-op. Try the half life 2 coop mod Don't know how it works, but you are supposed to play trought the whole story with another player. |
I was one of those that despised graw, HL2 I couldnt get into, found it to be over rated, plus, people say I didnt play it long enough but fuck me, I wasnt aware I had to play a game 2+ hours to get to something interesting.

Starship Troopers (FPS) any good? ----> one look at the GameSpot score should have avoided this question.
One of the worst games of this century, period.

ya I hate gamespot. They gave some of my favorite games the shittiest ratings (was awile ago) I rely more on IGN but still they gave it a 5. But those reviews and scores are from a couple people, like I said, I like the input from you guys better.
I can't believe im saying this but I never even played the first system shock lol it was before my time with computers and I was really the only one around here who played games on a computer so I had to find things out by myself. My first real game on PC was Blood 2 (god I was addicted)

I personally loved the Starship Troopers movie. There's something about that cheesy dialogue that just fits into that universe. But the game is a big let down, it does not live up to the movie at all.
I'm a graphics whore, no doubt about that, but I can live with bad graphics if the game is cool. Let me first say that the game looks utterly crappy. Especially the human models look like they are made from 50 polys maximum. Hands, wrists, arms, and even faces are SQUARE. Also voice acting is horrific, no cheesy/funny lines like in the movie, just some grunts mumbling bullshit. And it the graphics won't put you off, maybe this will: the game's premise about shitloads of bugs is swada, nothing but smaller waves of bugs coming at you mostly.

Get the Shock Texture Upgrade, because the big problem with the Rebirth mod is that the art style of it deviates too much from the original game.

Well, Deus Ex was better, but Deus Ex2 was definitively not bad.

I'll give it a run, the system I had when it came out was an amd xp 1700, 256 memory amd a radeon 9250 and ooooo I thought buying another 512 stick of memory would let me play HL2 haha.

Heh, played Deus Ex 2 recently with updated textures and all that now that I can run it properly. Never quite managed to finish it, too disappointing compared to the first one. So I went and reinstalled the first one, hah.

Deus Ex 1 also has an "updating textures" project. They already finished a pack which updates most textures and adds some new player models (Gunther). It looks better then the original.

Unfortunately they won't update the environment textures in HDTP.

The game was hated by most but I thought it was pretty goddamn fantastic! Defending the outpost against the hordes of bugs was hella fun and then when they broke through and got over the walls and the big ass napalm spewing behemoth smashed down the main door! Cool shit in my opinion!
May the NFOrce be with you always.

there was a mod for HL2 that was just that bunker part. I'm thinking I should get it again.

Ant Lion something something, wasn't it? I remember playing it and thinking this was how Starship Troopers should've been.
