i thought everything that cant be fucked up any further by valve is preloaded already, maxing at something like 2.5 gigs.
But i bet they manage to fuck up at least another 2 gigs of data to download at a later time

go preload your butts back to hl2 sites.... like damn there trying to build some hype..rite now like me im in no hurry to play pc games..look how many good xbox games been out..preload post are a waste..oo more files..blah. no one needs to hear it especailly those getting it too. cuz im sure there looking at hl2 sites everyday.

i disagree i played the finished code last nite and it lives upto the hype.
yes i know about as much as you on how the finished halflife code will be and how much overhyped it will be.
it certainly cant be any worse than the limited and repetitive tech demo that was doom3

Doom 3 was a SHIT game. I have never seen a more overrated game in my whole life. The funny thing is if Valve had released it everyone would be slating it for being crap. I hate ID fanboys.

Concerning Doom 3: ya it's shit.
Concerning HL2 preload: I hope so, but I would have to say even if we do get a preload it is looking less and less likely that the game will be released before november.
Too many signs point ot a november release.

Hmmmm...last year at this time everybody was saying how good HL2 would be and now they're saying it'll suck? So how does a delay affect how good or bad a game will be?
I think most people who say it'll suck are just angry because of the delays.....

theyre releasing more and more files weekly yet its being moved back another 2 months? dont be a fool, how is that rational? im guessin what they had planned to preload is probably on 50% with a large amount on the release date 1-1.5 GB. my bet is september 30th or around there.

THey just recently sent out a release candidate to vivendi. it's at least a month off still. I think the rumors about an november release is pretty dead on.
