Lolz.
I need to write this off.
we had a party. Hear from people around me, girl is checking me out. I check her out (looking only). She continuesly looks at me. I smile back. She looking again and again. I get the hint and what do i do.
NOTHING
Near the ending i'm walking to a friend who's standing about 5 mtrs away from her. She comes up to me asking, questions like age, why i'm single ect.
Ofcourse i react like only skidrow can react  with somewhat stupid anwsers and questions.
She walks off and goes on the dancefloor. For me its time to go. So i go to her and say goodbye and that i'll visit her at her work next week.
I'm hanging around for 5 more min. I watch her on the dancefloor and she waves. I wave back and smile.
And then leave
conclusion: I should have stepped up to her way sooner then i did.
Not all is lost, but still.

Yeah she came up to you and let you know she liked you (indirectly), thats not what i'd call making a move. Making a move is like kissing someone and similar unambigious actions. See, although it's obvious she's interested in you, she didn't exactly state that. You'll probably still have the be the one who makes the first romantic action. So that fits with what I said.
One of the most common ways a women will let you know she likes you is by dancing either close to you, or provactively near you. Usually you'll have to be the one to initiate contact in some way, even if it only invloves you moving forward a foot into her grind.

Dude I get the impression you have all these great theories on how to pull, yet you've never put them into practice. First off, how is the girl gonna phone you without your number? Secondly, mentioning marriage, even in jest, when first meeting someone of the opposite sex is a big nono. I know you're mostly joking anyway, but still... 
You don't need to bother with that shit, as long as you can dance, or even if you can't dance but you've got the balls to get up there anyway, you can get with a girl. I find dancing is one of the easiest ways to get close to someone and find out if they like you without even speaking a word.
