ok so I managed to get a virus so I said fuck it and reinstall. I have the eth0 release of SP2 and now all a sudden after it started the install after putting in the serial I get a message to put the SP2 disk (it's in the fuckin drive) cause windows needs to acess some file. it does it twice when I hit cancel then finishes the install then half the shit is missing in windows. I think it was looking for something like "i886" or some crap.
Maybe the files were there but couldn't be read. You said the iso was fine, so maybe it was a bad cd write (or scratches on the surface) Maybe try recording it again.
