So I had the three rings of death 2 weeks ago, sent it to repair, 2 days after - the dreaded lights pop up again.
So I tried the towel trick, but this time didn't plug it to the network - I played it for 5 days without any freeze, nor any red lights.
Yesterday I tried plugging it to the network again, played 5 mins - froze again and three red lights.
So I was thinking - is there any slim chance the red lights are connected to plugging the 360 to live?
I know it sounds crazy but you never know...

Just a noob question, as I might be getting an X360 as well:
Do the rings of death appear on unflashed/unmodded consoles as well, or only if something was changed?

on both, it was never becoz of any kinda modifications

I heard crzay ideas like make stand against the wall...
