Is there any realistic helicopter simulators, like MS flight simulator for planes, i find not covering helicopters enough.
Or at least game like comanche 4, red shark, but more complicated in terms of conrolling heil.

tried flying a helicopter gunship in Armed Assault?
anytime i try it its always the same...get in,take off,crash
but its prolly not what you are looking for

I have no idea as to it's sim credentials but a sequel to Enemy Engaged is coming out;

Enemy Engaged was supposedly the best sim on the market after Longbow II for Helicopters but I didn't have a good enough system to get my teeth into it at the time  - the forum users don't seem too confident about the sequel given the lack of information so far but you might want to check it out for yourself;

looks average to me..i like simulator and i still can't find new king insted of super ef2000 fom DID
here some pics:

now i know today you can find better graphics , but dogfights like here, i coulden't find anywere (not including space sims)

Same shit different day. Russian sims aren't about GFX but about gameplay, realsim, flight model etc. Mostly because they often are military sims with a modern facelift like Lock On and T-72.

The game looks good actually. Very good in fact.
As for ef2000 - it was certainly fun but if you think it hasn't been bettered then you obviously haven't been looking very hard. Ever tried Falcon 4 for just one example? |

i think the new M$ flightsim has helicopters
flying in flashpoint and armass is kinda fun, but not simulation to any degree
just difficult in a different, more awkward way
i got the distinct impression that enemy engaged is the only really proper military helicopter simulator
but it's so old that i never really got it to work proper with the fan addons
but now that the sequel is coming... i'm looking forward to it

Falcon 4 was not bad and i am talking about the first edition, but still..ef2000 was mutch better in my opinion.
btw..lock on mac have dogfights guns only option?

Flight Simulator 2004
There are always user made stuff that comes out so there should be lots of helicopters.

Good grief  in what way?
The only negative aspect of Falcon 4 is the dated graphics and the flight model being so robotic.

call me stupid call me nerd, but antil today i coulden't find that option (dogfight guns only) and when the game first came out ,it was bugy and i kinda disapointed fast.
yesterday i installed it and i found the guns only option finaly rofl, and i pluged my joystick and...cool game:D when i choose arcade style and easy flight mode, i am having fun.
so..this thread gave something at lleast to me;)
also the mvoies from youtube made me fell in love again with this game. |

i downloaded Search & Rescue 4(i think its the newest)

I liked Search & Rescue 4 flight model but the game itself gets boring pretty quickly. Comanche 4 had nice gfx and missions but it was just arcade, which sucks..

No heli sim out does Longbow imho. Even though it is old. It is still possible to get it running on XP.
Nothing beats that dynamic campaign and such.
Plus, it was really realistic too.

Sorry to dissagree, I only played the demo but it was enough to feel that the flight model was average at best.. anything else felt realistic like the cockpit panels, weapon systems and from what I heard the gampaign was indeed one of the best, but the chopper didn't feel like a chopper.
