Considering you cant send songs to or from the 360 through ANY port, and the IR diode is only for receiving, that would be highly unlikely.

It probably sends too because the rumble needs to get some information i guess?

The controllers connect via radio, not IR!

You mean wifi, right? If it used radiowaves, the controllers would have a range of many miles, something which they do not.

Yeah the Infrared port is exclusively used for the remote, nothing else. You can't transfer mp3s btw, only rip audio from cds or stream from a device directly connected via usb, or stream through network.

Calm down, i'm not saying it's using ULTRA SPEED LASER 500X 2007 Model.
Just saying the information has to go two ways if the rumble has to get info from the X-box, no?

yes a pad needs 2 way communication but as already said the pad does not use the IR port....it uses 2.4ghz r.f. the remote uses the IR port and has no feedback...even if it was technically possible i doubt ms would allow it due to possible piracy / licensing issues
btw wifi uses radio waves...that is what r.f. is (radio frequency) just because it uses radio waves it doesnt mean it had a range of miles...lol...cordless phones, walkie talkies... all r.f. all low range... the range is determined mainly by the transmitter output power & frequency...
anyway enough of this crazy teenage rumour started thread use ur pc to send cheese to ur phone
intel i7 3770k @4.4, ASRock Z77 Extreme 4, 16GB Corsiar Vengance 1600 ram, ATI 5850 BE, Antec 1 Case, Antec 1 550W PSU, emu0404, 120gb agility3 ssd OS, 2x60gbvertex2raid0 Games, 3 TB total sata2 Data. win7 x64.
