Does this happen to you in all games after playing for a while? Or did this just happen with PDZ, or a selected few games?
Is your 360 placed in a good ventilated area?
What you first should try to do, is run maintenance on your harddrive (NOTE: this will remove all patches you have downloaded, but not savegames): Go to Memory and select the HDD, then press X, X, LN, RB, X, X, if I remember correctly. Then a question should popup about it.
I had a lot of unwarranted crashes in particularly related to Capcom games (Dead Rising and Lost Planet), and this helped, at least for a while.
You might just be unlucky enough to have to send it over to Microsoft for maintenance.

Mine is jammed in between my PS2 and my DVD-player. It should reasonably get furiously hot in there. Yet i can still play games for hours. I've even forgotten to turn it off and it's been just as happy when i discover it the next day.
So I'd say it's something fishy about yours Godlikez :\

Only game(s) mine crashes on is oblivion, snooker and graw1 but thats after many of hours of gaming with it.
Also Godlikez*, DONT tell Microsoft you have a intercooler plugged onto your xbox360 otherwise they wont fix your 360.

Mine crashed once or twice while playing TDU and Saints Row. All other games run fine, i have it standing on the carpet with enough space for ventilation. I would contact MS if you can reproduce the problem.

I would say, dont mod it, and get ready to send it back. Are you getting the famous 3 rings of death, or just freezing. 3 rings is hardware. The majority of flakey/dead 360s are because of cheap PCB used in some of the manufacturing runs. These PCBs tend to warp over time while under excessive heat. And with warping, casues components to lose contact with there respective pads.
Many people have tried reflowing there CPUs and GPUs with very mixed results. One problem is that since the PCB has been heated so much, that the solder now has a much higher flowing point, and hence the heat required to reflow would destroy the components. The heat gun method doesnt really work, its a temp fix (Or doesnt do shit), just like that stupid towel trick.
And like a previous poster said, donot tell MS that you use the an Intercooler.

if there is no more warranty get pc case and give that box proper cooling
i saw couple of ppl made this kinda modifications due to heat problem
my box froze couple of times but it was when i started playing game

Looks like it's on it's way out. How long has this been going on for?
I've had my box replaced two times, and both times it started crashing before it finally died.

My X-Box 360 has never crashed but it did make my user tag/ gamer tag corrupt and fuck all my game saves up, had to make a new user name and only some games I could move the save games to the new user name ...
I live in a very hot country Thailand, so don't know if this is the cause or not !?!?

Ive had my 360 since launch day and other than the random freezing which I have to say occurs primarily with Oblivion but I think that is a bug with the game rather than my console, Ive had no problems at all. I also use a Nyko Intercooler.

Not to be a forum nazi, but this should be moved to the technical section.
Also, next time you get any flashing lights (not the red and blue ones, thats something else and youre REALLY fucked then) refer to this page

Is HTML allowed in posts? Anyway, copy paste works just as well. One last thing ... as others have mentioned, don't even say the word "Intercooler" when you do call, which you might as well do as soon as you read this. It may not be completely dead yet, but its definitely not behaving normally and if you have any stats, savegames, music or content on it that you would like to keep, this might help you save it. call 1-800-4MY-XBOX.
Anybody that wants to PM me their Gamertag is welcome to do so, I hardly know anyone with a 360 but I love the damn thing. 90% of the people that have posted to this thread thus far are pretty much "regulars" in my eyes, and I wouldnt hesitate to exchange Gamertags with you. Im a fucking Art Director so its goddamn embarrassing that I dont have an Avatar or a Sig uploaded yet, but Im also really lazy and really busy, a combination I have yet to master.
