I'd like to know if it is posible to play NTSC games on PAL machine and vice versa?

I have Multi-System TV.

yes but you need an rgb cable to get color on ntsc games.
although some newer tv's dont even need a rgb cable, just a regular scart gives them color.

Try looking for a program called ADR patcher. I've used it to play PAL PS2 games on my NTSC machine and it works fairly well. The screen size is a bit off, but it doesn't flicker and the color is all perfect. It scans an ISO image and looks for places to patch it. I've only used it twice but it's definitely the only solution I've found for games that don't have specific conversion patches elsewhere.

im in PAL land but NTSC have a higher frequenzy so obviously i pick ntsc and not shitty pal.

maybe it was some game that was only out in PAL land (europe)?

Yep, its the only release out right now, Demon Stone on PS2 , its a couple of threads down from this one.
(at least thats what i needed it for)

It fixed the picture, but i locked up after loading screen, hoping it was a bad burn, trying it again.

IIRC: PAL is higher res than NTSC ... if you look at video encoding NTSC & PAL basically have the same data rates - NTSC has slightly lower res at higher frequency, PAL is higher res at lower frequency...

NTSC: 648 x 486 @ 29.97 fps
PAL: 720 x 486 @ 25 fps

I play both on my multisystem TV via RGB cables (switched through Surround Sound Amp)... Messiah 2 rules - especially when games get released overseas before here!

yes but the frequenzy is higher (60hz versus 50hz on pal) so therefor ntsc is faster.
this is extremely noticable in tekken3 for example.
and faster is way better than slower with a slightly better picture Wink
