I too have a problem with burnt Mercenaries... Have anyone found a way around this...? Maybe there'a a way to convert DVD5 iso to DVD9 iso... maybe than it would work... I've recorded the game on 3 different brand DVD+R, and still get the stupid error... I would just buy the stupid game, but I can't find it in my country, and the shiping fee is twice the price of the game...
i found dvd 9 copy stealthed etc but it has another problem, sometimes during gameplay radar goes blue and it freezes, most of the time in chinese area, i found out that it's purely emulation bug and has nothing to do with copy, shit
well in any case if your copy is dvd5 and not optimized/converted for 360 it won't work, also only samsungs can play dvd5 x1 or 360 copies, hitachis can not
I've got a samsung drive, and the game starts OK... but when I choose an agent I get a read error. Guess I'll have to find another REL or buy a copy and hope it'll work someday
well problem is u tried to make 360 copy out of your x1 copy, did same didn't worked, then i got proper release stealth patched and Xtreme compatible, but as u already know i had like anyone else another problem
so if u got fw which allows u to play x1 in dvd5 then just get proper dvd9 version i think it was 2gig packed unpackes in 6+gigs and convert it to dvd5 with XDVDMulleter, should work but u'll get freezing time after time
the only great working BC games so far that i tried were Halo 2 and NG, Black had issues too at some point
I've found a DVD9 stealth patched version... Hope it'll work, and M$ will fix the compatibility issue They brag about it, and it doesn't even work properly...
I'm now playing through Halo and then gonna play through Halo 2... I hope that with these I won't have any problems...
