Never had a problem before with any of the kheops games or any other games for that matter, and I haven't changed my specs or graphics card. So I've no idea why all of a sudden it's doing this. Check these 2 screenshots. When moving the cursor over the door, those glitchy blocks move about, even affecting the pillar near it. And the map is virtually completely full of them apart from the text. Did the same thing after a reboot.

My system: Athlon XP2000+, 9800 pro, 768mb ram, windows XP pro.

Any suggestions? This is the vitality nuked version.

Maybe some tages protection or your card is over heating or corrupted graphical files .

Hmm, if it's tages, it'll be interesting to see if anyone else has the same thing.
I should probably shutdown my pc and let it cool off to see if it's the card overheating. It's fine on sherlock holmes the awakened ( vitality), although, there were some different type of glitches, but they disappeared after I turned down some of the graphic options, so I put that down to my system not able to handle certain things such as anisotropic filtering and whatnot. I have a feeling though that you might be right about corrupted files.

edit: I just read somewhere that someone else also has graphical errors on everything that's clickable.

Have the exact same problem graphic glitches on interractive objects. Got the vitality release and running it on a ATI9800 PRO card.

Please post if you find a solution to this problem!

Interesting. Does anyone here think there could be some incompatability with 9800 pro cards? I can't see the issue being with vitality as from what I can see, others seem to have no problem with this game.

I did the same thing the other day, also made no difference.

I doubt changing drivers will help, but go for it and let's see if it helps. I don't use omegas, I use regular ati drivers. Mind you, I haven't updated them for months so maybe I should try that.

Yo antwoon, I got it licked. Very Happy

Right at the bottom of the DESTINATION: TREASURE ISLAND Readme.txt :

_______________________________________
"KNOWN PROBLEMS

Some graphical glitches might be encountered on ATI cards with catalyst 6.6 drivers.
In this case, go in the Catalyst control center, 3D graphics settings, there is a "catalyst A.I." option activated by default. Disabling it will solve the issue. "

I don't know which version of cats I have, but I know it's way earlier than the current 7.3 drivers.
I just now disabled 'catalyst A.I.' and hey presto, all glitches gone, can read the map, the rope tying menu, and the door and pillar now look like borrior's screenshot. I then enabled the catalyst A.I again just to check and yep, the glitches came back, so that's definitely the problem. Do that man, tick the box, and let me know if it worked for you. If it does >

Tick the little box >
