Never seen these movies. Never liked them and never will.
Kolleagues at work put it on one evening, they watched it and i fell asleep....
I can't stand the pathetic humor mixed with action and love scenes. Not my cup of tea...

Although I liked the series but I get what you're saying. Since it's a 'disney' movie there is no gripping action since nothing bad can happen to the characters. Even the bad guys seem to get off with a slap on the wrist.
I would like to see a real pirate movie. All gritty and grimy. None of that Errol Flynn swashbuckling stuff but a (more or less) accurate depiction of pirates. Man that would be one dark movie.
I find it kinda strange they haven't been whoring this movie out like the rest of them. I literally haven't seen a commercial or advertisement about it yet. I love these movies but I have a strong feeling this one is going to be the worst of the series. The first 2 were 3 years apart and this one comes out a year after
After the advent of DVD, the term - at least in America - also gained the meaning of "a brief documentary film covering one or more aspects of the film creation process", usually being used in DVD features descriptions to refer to video-format "Behind The Scenes" type bonus features such as documentaries on special effects or set design (although blooper reels and interviews with cast or crew seem to rarely if ever be described as "featurettes").

Always loved pirate themed movies/games since Monkey Island. And I really enjoyed both Pirates of the Caribbean movies, don't know what people dislike about the second one except of the open end.

I guess that kind of movie would be about ransacking and rape. Mostly rape I suppose.
watching now, quality is watchable, good sound, camera is dead on straight. colours slightly washed out, but what dyu expect from a TS
