the e6400 is 1 of the best cpu s you can buy so how can you possibly lose performance with the board?

The cpu is 1066MHz FSB, The Motherboard is 800MHz FSB will i lose performance because of the motherboard being 800MHz? I always thought I'd need a 1066MHz FSB Motherboard to match the FSB on the cpu.

I believe you will lose performance, one of the reasons the Conroe's and Allendales are so much faster then the Netburst CPU's (besides architecture) is because of the higher FSB. It probably won't kill the CPU but of course your gonna lose some performance when you drop a CPU from 266 to 200 FSB.

Invest a bit more in the motherboard, it's worth it.
