Well the Scrapland demo is out. Smile I liked American McGee's Alice, so maybe this will be better?

HP: http://www.scrapland.com/
Demo: http://www.gamershell.com/download_6972.shtml
Size: 295 mb

There has also been released a new trailer at their homepage, maybe you should check it out before downloading the demo?

Quote from gamershell:
Enlight released a playable demo of McGee's Scrapland (Thanks ve3d). As D-Tritus, a robot assembled from junkyard parts, players will navigate the dangerous robot-inhabited city of Chimera on the remote, scrap-planet known as Scrapland. D-Tritus can engage his enemies on foot, in customizable gunships, or even take over other robots to make use of their unique abilities. Demo features one Singleplayer and two Multiplayer maps.

From reading the Gamershell quote but never having played the demo, this sounds very much like the console game, Glitch ... which isn't necessarily a bad thing since I really enjoyed that game! Very Happy

the game is kinda goofy, the voice acting is funny, the ships handle well and the ship combat is fun, the running around is also fun, except theres no jump button (WTS??) but overall it's a fun goofy 3rd person game, but then again theres some ship customizing also, kind of like one of those space sim games, but not so indepth, well anyways, if you can spare the bandwidth give it a try, it's not a nextgen engine or anything but it looks alright for what it is.

It plays alot like Jax 2, run around and complete missions. You also can customize yourself and your ship making each player have a unique style. I personally think the graphics are great for what they are trying to show. They not trying to compete with Doom 3 or HL2, but rather create a unique and comic looking world and suceed very well. The flying cities seem to be pretty big also.

Runs nice on my new Rig! Very Happy
