It just a suggestion;
1. Go to subtitle by right click on player
2. Go to subtitle properties
3. Select font
4. check on the scripts, may be it was set on Vietnamese or some other languages
Try opening the subs file with notepad and see what language it really is. If it's arabic then the player is at fault. Check the site of the media player to see if it supports arabic.
