I have my Xbox360 going through my PC's LCD Monitor and now I want true 5.1 surround sound comming through my PC's speakers by connecting the 360's Fibre Optic cable to my PC.

What I want to know is, If I buy a Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum which has a Optical input on the front drive tray control unit and connect my 360 to it digitally by this, will this give me 5.1 surround sound from my PC speakers???



Just found this card as well -

Trust 5.1 Sound Expert with Optical input... anyone tried this card??? for £17 it seems ok.

has anyone got a 360 and a Audigy card with Optical input that could try it for me Smile (or is the optical input just for recording from a Minidisc etc??)
