I played quite a few of those but I'm a little young for the really early 1980's titles, aside from the dated graphic's there's nothing wrong with replaying most of them and they do have alot of replay value. Smile
(Should probably go trough Ultima 0 - 8 so I understand IX better, also should go trough M&M 1 - 5 so I understand 6 - 8 better though those may have been different storylines similar to IX)

EDIT: Oldest game ever with some kind of graphics and I still get low framerate.

Actually, you shouldnt play mm9 or ultima 9 at all...really worthless games compared to the other ones

Wow, lots of fellow gamers turning 28 this yr. So yeah same here. Started out RPG gaming with Ultima7(original and the serpent isle), and to a lesser extent, UW. After that kinda gave up for awhile cuz there was alot of shitty games and hard to find the good ones without blindly obtaining lots of crappy ones--damn the internet for taking so long to spread. Anyways after awhile picked it up again with all the bioware and black isle classics. Also wizardry 8. That game really deserves some credit, no matter how long it took em to come out with it.

Nice links Anthirs, brought back some good old memories. Started with Ultima III and Wizardry, i always hated Bards Tale (the predecessor for the Diablo crap) and Bethesda games. Best RPG's for me are still the Ultimas from the Age of Enlightenment trilogy.Too bad they don't make these kinda games anymore.

im 25,5 years old and my first rpg game was... The Gautlet on coin-up Razz
Then ive got C64 which was my first computer. I dont remember rpgs on c64 because ive got so many games included unforgetable Bubble Bobble, Bomb Jack, Commando, Boulder Dash, Ghosts and Goblins, first adventure game i played - Spike in Transylvania, and more more more. it was 19 years ago Smile
Then i sold my c64 and i bought amiga500. it was something different. ive got many fantastic games such a Monkey Island 1&2, Desert Strike, Mortal Kombat 1&2, Street Fighter and more, more, more
First rpgs i remember: Ishar 1&2, EoB 1,2,3, Dungeon Master, Heros Quest, aaaaaaaaaaaagh fantastic memories.
11years ago i bought my first PC and then i tried to bring back memories, i downloaded Dungeon Master 1, 2, Ishar 2, Daggerfall, Might&Magic VII (one of the best rpgs i played), Fallout 1 and 2 (F2 is with Baldurs Gate II best rpgs of all times), and more, more, more.
New rpgs arent that cool.

Dungeon Master anyone???

Well i'm 2 weeks from turning 29 so maybe you young people born in 79 missed this really HUGE classic.. Razz

Gormadok got all the big ones down! Truly amazing games in his list.

Baldurs gate 2 is the best RPG to date, end of story!
