Running E6600 at stock speed right now with Tuniq Tower 120 and EVGA 680i A1 motherboard and 2 gigs of corsair domintaor 8500 RAM.

My temps on the CPU at idle are freaking 27-28 degrees cel. Playing Oblivion (completely maxed out by the way at 1920 x 1200) it goes up to like 33. And my room it's in isn't especially cool. I am really blown away by that CPU cooler. It's barely warm when I touch it.

My GPU, which is an 8800 GTX, idles at 58 degrees cel. But, under load it goes up to 71. Is that normal for those cards?

I plan on overclocking some time.... but I see absolutely no need right now... it eats anything I throw at it easily.

That's a pretty good temp for your 8800. Some people idle at 65-70+.

Mine sits at 63C and goes up to about 80'ish. It's all about ambient temp and case airflow, I assume yours is good.

The nvidia monitor software doesn't appear to be accurate to me in telling tempratures.

The software tells me the CPU is running at 28 cel. But when I go into bios, it is running at 31 - 32 cel. Is there a better sofware for telling this sort of unfo or...?

I went ahead and over clocked yesterday and got it up to 3.48 ghz before it wouldnt go into windows. I didn't bump up the voltages much though. I ended up with a 3.29 overclock running orthos stable at a really low voltage increase. Still running at 28 cel (in software) and 31-32 cel in bios.
