So with the new release of Opera (9.2) I figured I would give it a go.. The application seems to load faster than firefox, use less ram and display pages far quicker.. but it feels so bloated. Is there anyway to get rid of all the crap I don't want, make the ui look a little less cluttered? What about addons/plugins? I use a del.icio.us addon with firefox.. does opera have such things?

I'm all about simplicity, this isn't really providing right now Sad!

just right click anywhere on the gui and you can add, remove and move buttons around more than in any application i've seen so far
you can get it VERY minimalistic.. even delete the address field i you want for some reason

addons.. well, you have to use userJS
these javascript snippets that firefox also supports through greasemonkey

the website doesn't update that often so the forum is your best bet

Welcome to the world of the best browser Wink

Setting up the UI is very easy, just like s_hole said.

Read up on plugins here.

Opera supports Java, Shockwave, Flash, WMP, Quicktime, etc, etc, etc.

What do you mean in terms of security? Of course it supports encryption, SSL/TSL, and whatnot. You can set a master password to protect your certificates, and it has a fraud protection. You also have a tool which can remember all the passwords for you.

Blocking ads is easy. Just right-click on a page and select block content. Then hold Shift and click on whatever you want to block.
