|
 |
Quote: | Castle Crashers, the awesome side-scrolling brawler that's a lot older than most of us probably realise, is getting a third lease on life with the announcement of a PC port.
Developers Behemoth revealed today at GamesCom that the game, which was released on Xbox 360 in 2008 and PS3 in 2010, will be coming to Valve's Steam platform, and will feature stuff like integrated voice chat, Steam Cloud support, both local and online multiplayer and of course achievements.
Local multiplayer on a PC? Bless you, Behemoth.
No word on a release date, but it'll be playable at PAX later this month. |

Quote: | Castle Crashers will be releasing on September 26, 2012 on Steam, and will feature over 25 unlockable characters and 40 weapons, on top of the PvP style Arena Mode and Insane Mode. Considering the large amount of DLC available for both the XBLA and PSN versions, The Behemoth will most likely be rolling out more content for the Steam version in the weeks to follow. |

I wonder what the plan is with the huge amount of DLC already available, whether or not it will ship with the Steam version (considering the game is FOUR years old from the PS360) or whether they'll be dicks and force everyone to buy the content packs.

how many characters and weapons with all DLC's?
from Steam Page:
Quote: | Key Features:
Unlock more than 25 characters and over 40 weapons!
Intuitive combo and magic system: Unlock an arsenal of new attacks as your character progresses through the game.
Level up your character and adjust Strength, Magic, Defense, and Agility.
Adorable animal orbs are your companions. Each adds different abilities to aid you on your journey.
Arena mode: Battle other players in free-for-all or team matches!
Insane Mode: Test your skills in the ultimate campaign challenge |
it's also Steam Play, means Mac version as well, and Humble boundle probably for future

Wonder if one could use http://store.steampowered.com/app/204360/ to find out, I'll check.
EDIT: Found nothing but I found for some other upcoming and released titles - Two DLC for Borderlands 2, a number of upcoming unknown games and DLC for these, six DLC for Dishonored, three DLC for War of the Roses, some DLC for Black Ops 2, four DLC for Spec-Ops, three DLC for Painkiller, ten DLC for Aliens, one DLC for Skyrim.

If they aren't including the DLC with a 4 year old game...
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Ah well, I already own the 360 version.. so no guilt whatsoever about pirating the shit out of this and due to the DLC rubbish, I'd do it even if I hadn't bought the 360 one.
