Ok, current specs: WinXP SP1 with all updates DirectX 9.0c fetched from ms P4 2,53GHz Geforce ti4600 1GB RDRAM What happends: I start the game and the nice lil "The Sims 2" splash screen come up.. Aaand, well.. Yea.. Why? Why oh why doesn't it just clear away the splash screen and start up the game? Far Cry, DoomIII and.. others.. work like a charm, why should I have trouble dealing with the Sims? I have NEVER had CloneCD installed, I've manually looked trough my files and the registery, not a trace of it (pretty shocking, huh?), I have not oc'd this system, nor do I run any apps at all messing with the geforce card. I've tried with the newest drivers, some beta drivers, and some older drivers I found back in my own "mess" dir.. I've tried one install with mounting the CCD files, and one with the CUE files. I've tried to burn out CD1 according to the stuff said on this forum, I've tried to use alcohol120, deamon tools (all emu's on).. Ehm.. And I've tried with the DX install on the Sims2 cd.. Nothing, works.. Except from the splash screen.. No errors, no "working with something secret in the background", no noises or flickering. Nothing. Any ideas?

I have the same problem, I have burned copy though... but no clone cd or anything, I disable nero image drive. It stays at the splash screen and then, after over a minute it gives me a windows error

I get no errors at all, funstuff.. It wont even tell me what's wrong.

because the games u mentions have cracks, this doesnt. so wait

I reformatted my HD and it still didnt work, I guesse Ill just wait for the crack

Damn, I have the same problem. I've downloaded the CloneCD Multilanguages WOR. It installed perfectly, but when I started it; it did the same as yours. When when when does the crack come? I want it and I want it now!

CRACK IS OUT!!! works perfect ! no cd needed , no " thesims2 " screen!! don't know if i can say where to get it but it's on Efnet # ^ channel get the hint

When burning ClonceCD Images you have to be very careful to pick the right settings, and the right burning apps not to mention that it isnt ALL bruners that support CloceCDs (mostly do now, though) One thing you can (and SHOULD, specially for the sims ) is save yourself the trouble of burning and wasting CDs and just mount them with either Daemons tools (latest REQUIRED) or alcool 120%

And if you got it from SuprNova not only didn't it work, it also contained a trojan. Rolling Eyes

like i said before it works but you can't do some stuff

The one I downloaded had one, bpk.exe. It has also been confirmed by others at SuprNova's forum. Dunno if they removed the file though or if the the file you got is another upload.

Yes, you are reading it wrong. bpk.exe is the trojan, delete it!!! There is (as far as I know) no working crack out. Mount CD 1 in Alcohol or Deamon instead.

There is a new no-cd crack at Suprnova, maybe thats what he ís saying, or at least trying to. However, if mounting the cd-image works, I see no reason to use a no-cd crack.
