Until today i have been using kaspersky i.s. 6.0.2.614
now my key is blacklisted & all others i've tried.
Am giving K.i.s. 7 beta a try but it is a beta
Any suggestions for good i.s. or av&as package for vista. I'm using a netgear router with hardware firewall so not so bothered about s/w firewall

Just buy Kaspersky off of ebay. It's the first AV I've bought in the last 7 years and it was worth every penny. I've tried nod32 and didn't like it. had a virus or 2 get passed it.

Any virus scanner is only as good as what it alerts or doesnt alert you to though realistically. It's about perception. if you have a VS thats popping up every few minutes then you have 2 possibke thoughts,

Its really good cos its finding them
Its shit cos they are getting there in the first place.

Equally if your VS doesnt pop up for months on end th thoughts can be,

Its awesome NOTHING is getting thru.
Its shit i bet i'm riddled with virii that this av cant find!

Perception is eight tenths of the VS law.
