Post all your needs in here. To free up useless clutter in the game's thread. Cool

I'm having simillar problems can't start the game, just boots me back to desktop and hangs :

Vista Ultimate
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800, @2.3GHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX nVidia ForceWare 158.18

Works in XP though, so I'm guessing it's Vista related (as usual)

To everyone having problems getting the game to start try this...

Right click the spiderman 3 shortcut, properties, compatibility, check "run in 640 x480 screen resolution", and apply.

The game will not actually run in 640 x 480 but the default resolution the game selects for your pc. If you try change the video settings in-game it will crash after you hit apply but the new settings should stick.

Hopefully a patch comes out soon after retail release.

I've a 7950GT so it looks like it's not only the 7800 card that has the problem. Not that I care so much, I'll be getting this game for the 360 next week, but it would be nice to get to know the city before then.

Well I guess I was wrong, I started the game at least 4 or 5 times after checking that box in the game exe but now it's back to crashing to the desktop.

BTW I have the same problem with a 6800u.

Is it possible for any of you guys that run this game at playable speed to post your specs?

I have an Intel Core 2 6300 and a Nvidia 7900GTX but the game lags like hell.

Sad

I have 2gigs of RAM and I'm using Windows XP SP2. I have all the latest official drivers installed and also tried the latest unofficial ones from guru3D.

Could it be that this game is really that demanding?!?
