true but i think that wouldn't matter to many people, like me  i play hearts of iron 2 with some of my friends and a full campaign can take days, we just save it and resume it next time

yep, i bought M2TW for multiplayer, and it was a HUGE disappointment that there was no MP with the Campaign strategy. so yea, if you only care about it as a MP game, there is no pope, no inquisitors, no nothing but just points armies and i though that sucked.
i sold it and bought Civ4 and im glad, Civ4 is so much better as a MP game.

nice game but it misses blood , gore and most of all decapitations which is a bit turn off , i want to see the full Medieval period not some censured crap that was cut only to get Teen rating

Actually, you will be able to with the new expansion.
"All-new 1v1 hotseat multiplayer campaign mode"
That's going to make for some long weekends.

Personally, I've been kinda turned off on the whole TW series, mostly due to a lack of quality modding recently. The crew working on Total Realism is what really got me interested in the series besides feeling just "wow, I can have hundreds of units on screen and it looks badass." I loved the intricate touches of realism they injected into RTW and made the game almost 200% better. Now however TR seems to have lost the best members and reached a complete halt in production of their version 7.
Might give this one a shot but I am sure I will be put off by the usual cartoonish type characters and lack of historical realism. Hopefully a modding team comes out of the woodwork to make MTW 2 into what RTW was with Total Realism. Then I might pick up the game and once again waste hundreds of hours on the series. Until then, the arcadish combat will have to do for the few hrs(at most) it keeps my interest, I guess.

Oh lol. NFOrce isn't the official nfo database and what not. It's more of an information site. Those nfo's on the front page are put there by our own updaters which were lacking quite a bit last I knew as well as they just don't have time to keep it updated due to real life etc. |
