Any advise on how to convert VHS tapes to DVD. I know Pinnacle Dazzle can do it - but so many bad reviews on their software, bugs, crashes. Curious on how you guys are doing it.

drive over with a steam roller and cut with scissors to fit the dvd player
or
you could just use virtualdub to capture and edit it (use some lossless low compression codec)
apply some filters to it for fixing vhs artefacts (there are some vhs recovery filters for vdub)
and then frameserve to tmpgenc
burn with dvd author soft of your choice
that's how i would do it atleast
