TRON 2.0
(You arer more or less stuck in a computer and have to hack your way into various systems among other things).
System Shock 2
(Can hack quite a few systems in this game though it's more of a horror/fps/rpg mix but hacking various portable console games is still quite fun despite this games age.)
Dystopia
(Mod for Hl2, quite a interesting hacking simulation together with usual combat.)
That funky rts title with the retro graphics about saving virtual bits/bytes in a computer from a virus that I can't remember the name of
(D-something).
There's probably others and these may not even be what you were looking for.

He probably meant hacking-only games with no combat or anything.
But still Deus Ex can be added to JB's list

Thats Darwinia, made by the same guys that created Uplink, so maybe you'll like it. Although it doesn't really involve any hacking.

Uplink was probably one of the easiest hacking games, the others you'll actually have to know CMD commands and what not to play them but their quite fun and alot more involved.
Street Hacker <-- Played this one alot, You get your own desktop, media player (lol) you can create your own viruses for a price.
Screenshots
BS Hacker <--this one was good too
galactic hacker
Hacker
Mindlink

Uplink was probably the most fun for inexperienced hackers etc.. it was cool to roleplay. The expansion was cool too and I found a trick to save my progress fun game.
