|
 |
I'm pissed off. After downloading the newest Forceware drivers, Splinter Cell 4 finally worked on my system (the game had problems with 8800 cards). I finished it some days ago and had the great idea of playing the first 3 Splinter Cells again.
So I installed #1, patched to newest version. Game starts, but I can't see any shadows (only the static ones) Sam has no shadow, no dynamic lights. I googled, but no one seems to have this problem.
So I installed #2...exactly the same bug. Game works, but Sam has no shadow. Atmospheric killer, game unplayable.
So I installed #3 v1.05 Reloaded - It doesnt even start. No error, no reaction, no loading.
What the fuck is wrong here? I played with all the Settings in the ctrl panel (AA, AF) but it always stays the same.
As said before, I'm using an 8800GTS with the newest Forceware drivers. Some enlightenment would be nice..I'm not paying 2k bucks for a new system to have only 50% of the games work. (on XP!!)

Try disabling either AA or AF...Does that help?

Some of those issues you could just email ubi about and they'd help you They've no way of telling if you have a legit version or not unless they ask which they never do.

Ok, I got SCCT to work now.Full graphics, all fine and nice. The original rld crack was fuxx0red, but there is a 2nd one on gcw that works.
And for the other two..I guess its a driver problem, I blame Nvidia. Gonna wait for the new drivers to come out. (if I install old ones, SCDA will be fucked up again)

Yes, sound mostly works. Sometimes the ambient sounds suddenly disappear but all in all its working. I'm using Realtek onboard sound (Asus P5W). SCDA is so buggy...they really didn't care about the Pc Version this time.

No thats true, i applied the latest patch but that didnt solve the problem. I use onboard sound too, but Creative Audigy 2. And i have no sound at all in the game. When i start the first mission, there is a cutscene with a airplane/helicopter and then i have sound, but then it starts to load another cutscene in the plane and then the sound is totally gone. Its absolutely not fun to play without sound. So i uninstalled it.
