Forums is overloaded deluxe. I wouldn't jump to conclusions so soon though, as people who have unmodded 360s are reporting problems as well. It might be an issue with Live.

They ban the whole console or only the option the play online?

Some of them say they haven't played crackdown on the banned console in months.

They ban the console from live, but you can still play offline.

so all they do is get you banned from playing on Live? Or do they block us downloading content from Live like videos and demos???

When they say "live service", do they mean playing online or connecting to live, in order to d/l demos for example?

They ban you from connecting to live.. ie you cannot login to live (only offline with your profile). The modded console is banned from the live network. Just as with xbox1, but this time your gamertag is safe to play on an unmodded system and you dont lose the gold subscription you had, or your gamerscore.

And how are we suppose to update the dashboard on few monthes??

You can update the dashboard when it comes with new games, just like offline users have to this day.
For users who have not been banned YET, I suppose reverting to original VIRGIN firmware of your drive (ORIG.BIN) will save your console from being banned when you connect again. OR ELSE, the dashboard itself does the check and if you were modded when you upgraded the dash, the dash will rat you out to live services regardless of changing your firmware back.

Yeah, well you'll have to wait a while for that. I'm guessing sony will be even more strict with modified consoles conncecting to their online service considering it's free.

You don't have to pay sony but developers are allowed to charge you one off fees or subscription fees to play their games online. Theres nothing much out yet to play online anyway.
Still £5 a month is nothing to me for a quality online service.
I'm sure microsoft will lose alot in online subsriptions from this, but they'll probably make up for it in games sales and increased publisher support. Besides you can still play copies offline if you like.

actually I am not selling!! I havent played on Live after the first month trial and even then it was for maybe 3-4 days. So no more movie trailers, game demos and game videos downloads, big f-ing deal...those are public domain stuff anyway....lol

You might aswell keep it until the end of the year, there are some amazing looking games cming out in the last quarter.
