Ok Ladies and Gents... I spent all day figuring this one out... Here is the answer.
Symptom:
You cannot build anything house related in the game, ie. you canot build walls, doors, windows, landscaping, etc.
This problem ONLY occurs for users of the No-CD Crack packaged with the "crack.nfo" file.
Fix:
Get rid of the worthless exe crack.... The script kiddy that hacked it is a moron. Just read the .nfo file he wrote.... It breathes arrogance. Leave it to the shit talkin l33ter's to do a half ass job.... Sorry, I digress...
Once you get rid of the bad exe crack, put back the original. Install either Daemon Tools 3.47 or Alcohol 1.9.2 Build 1705 (Older versions MAY work however, I personally tested both of the above versions with success). Mount CD1 of the ORIGINAL alcohol imaged .mds file that you have a copy of and run the game. You should not have any issues with Sims 2 after that. I was able to build with absolutely no problems.
Troubleshooting:
First off... Get rid of all that spyware crap on your PC. PestPatrol Corp 4.x works best hands down! (I personally don't like ver. 5)
Remove any and all CD/DVD emul software and delete their corresponding directories.
Reboot and then re-install one (or both... I did) of the above CD/DVD emul proggies on your PC (make sure you have the right ver.)
I don't know what to tell you folks out ther that are having Sims 2 crash issues.... I haven't experienced any probs so I can't answer those. This problem is strictly to solve the above stated issue.

Not really a solution to the no-cd crack. A solution would be a good no-cd crack. We already know about mounting it. That's how most of us are playing it.
