Funny how GMG has come to look so much like SteamPowered.com

I have also noticed that several dd/game focused social networking clients copy the appearance of the Steam client.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

copy and build off what's successful, AKA WOW clones.
I personally think GMG is the only client that's going to make it anywhere close to steam. Decent system so far and the fact you can turn your games back in really makes it appealing to a lot of people.

Sorry it died so soon, but it was very limited time. About clients looking like Steam, have you see EA's download manager yet? This is BY FAR the closest clone to date. In game chat overlay, updating of your games, download and purchasing of games, community areas, friends lists with chat, it has it all except the clientel and enough games to make money.

i think impulse was the closest personally, and it was a better system, wish it took off instead of steam. It was nice owning a game and not having to have the stupid service running to play.
