I guess the pig is a bit smaller than that. On one photo they claim the father is 6.1". Come oooon, on the pic he's a fucking hobbit (body proportions). He can't be 190cm. So the hog is smaller too. Just like the story with Hogzilla, who turned out to be smaller than claimed

They needed 8 shots to take it down. Shitty hunters, you should be able to take it out with 1-2.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

You shouldnt hunt at all with a pistol imo. Its cruel to the animal if you need to turn it into a swizz cheese to take it down. Might aswell hunt with an MG42 in that case.

Cruel in what way? I don't see anyone complaining about the millions of poor cows and sheeps that are taken out in a similar fashion. |

I have nothing against hunting for food - but you should do it as humane as possible - filling it with 8 bullets is not humane. 1 or 2 to take it out should be enough.

It's considered mauvais ton among hunters to wound an animal and then finish it off. 1shot-1kill is the rule. Btw there are special 1-kill spots for every animal including elephants and giraffes.
And in province it's also considered bad if you torture the pig or cow when killing it. An experienced peasant or farmer can kill a giant pig with one well placed hit to the heart with a long knife. Seen this myself. The animal just drops dead and that's all.
