F.E.A.R. Project Origin
- Official web page: Link
- Publisher: Warner Bros. Interactive
- Developer: Monolith
- Genre: First-Person Shooter
- Release date: February 10, 2009
- Story/Description:
Quote: |
The second heart-stopping shooter by Monolith (after F.E.A.R.) continues the spine-tingling supernatural suspense story of an escalating paranormal crisis that threatens to destroy a major American city. At the center of the calamity is the mysterious Alma, whose rage against those who wronged her triggered a chain of events that has spiraled completely out of control. Now that she has been loosed upon the world, the consequences will be unimaginable.
Although this game is technically a follow-up to F.E.A.R., the game will not carry the F.E.A.R. franchise name due to a shift in publishers -- instead, it will feature a new name for its terror.

oh great, another camp ground for cheaters
a list of some of the things possible in FEAR (all in multiplayer):
god mode
invisible
infinite ammo
fly
ability to make other players kill other players
ability to kill everyone as soon as they respawn (and individual players)
ability to make everyone commit suicide (and individual players)
spawn any weapon even weapons that are restricted
pausing the server
kick people without having to get votes
infinite slow motion
no patch from Monolith/Sierra to fix any of this shit
eh i liked single player though

Ahh well, the story is a bit interesting, even tho it does seem to have been written by a hippy.

Sierra was purchased by Vivendo AGES AGO, in 2000-20001. Most of the people were laid off, and thus, Sierra is NOT who they used to be anymore.

This is a curious statement given your comments in the Fallout 3 thread
What part of the expansion didn't you like?

Lol wtf?! What did I say in the F3 thread? F3 is developed by Bathesda, whose reputation is impeachable, while this is developed by the same goons that did the first, who are complete fps noobs. All they did with the first expansion is to copy the original design with (almost) no story at all (obviously, seeing as Monolit'sh and Vivendy's dispute).

Monolith helped with Extraction point but ya I agree, I didn't even play through Extraction point, it just didn't have the same mood that the first FEAR had.

After the utterly craptastic Extraction Point, I am going to skip this. I will wait for F.E.A.R. 2 instead.

Lame. Little girls portrayed as evil?! That's never been done before! Let's fight more clones! Ah, the variety makes this game so worth it...
And personally, I haven't enjoyed any game produced by Bathesda. Yah, I hate the Elder Scrolls series, good concept and all, but I just can't get into any of 'em. Frankly, they have nothing else going for them but Elder Scrolls and I'm worried they will fuckin' ruin F3! Oh noes!!

Quote: | The first and most common form of mockery was, of course, the ridiculous acronym; among others, our fans suggested "S.C.A.R.E.D.," "A.F.R.A.I.D.," "C.H.U.C.K.N.O.R.R.I.S.," "M.e.a.t." and "S.A.U.S.A.G.E." (the fascination with food products was strange). |
