DVD burner shouldn't matter too much. Some say that the Pioneer 111D is the way to go.
I still use my Lite-On burner that was preinstalled in my PC and never had any problems.
As far as media goes, just stick to Verbatim DVD+R. They are not the cheapest, but considering a game costs 60€ they're absolutely worth it. Bad madia can cause read errors and longer loading times (at least it did on my Xbox 1, never tried a cheap DVDR on my 360 though).

I use a Liteon 812s that I have had for about 4 years now.Flashed to a 832s firmware to enable DL burning and it has been pretty reliable with 360, wii and pc isos for me to consider anything newer yet!

Pioneer offers most reliable burns. It only burns at rate media can handle. I have 112d and no issues. I use Tayo Yuden DVDR as they are much cheaper. But I dont have a 360 cause I dont want to buy DL media...

use a nec ND-4571a with verbatim DL, when i first bought my 360 i was waiting on my batch of Verbatim so i tried some traxdata and datawrite and they both skipped. i have had no problems with verbatim so far.

i think you should be more concerned with what media you get, in my experience that is the main deciding factor for console games.

I use the nec ND-4571a with the latest firmware. Personally I use verbs in all I do regardless of what they're running on.
I've done well over 50 burns so far (360) and I haven't got a coaster. Not the cheapest of discs but well, they don't fuck up

lol exactly!!
WTF is the point of a post like this? I mean I can understand that people can't afford $60 games, but if you can't afford the blank media to burn what would otherwise cost you $60+.....get a job, how'd you get a 360 in the first place then? Jesus some people are beyond greedy...
