wtf??? AutoCad is for drafting plans not home designing...
Try 3d Home Architect or ArchiCad or something similar.

I suggest you read up on what AutoCAD and it's different versions does, or actually try the program. |

Shoulde tell my employer that we should start using AutoCad instead of ArchiCad...

Basically ALL progs from "Autodesk" does the job they where designed for. They are basically cornering the market like Microsoft is doing for Windows OS, or Adobe for Graphics apps, Autodesk is doing it for ALL 3D apps.

Pure quality programs like these does give them the right to corner that market but

autodesk has this 'architectural desktop' version of autocad that has really easy house design tools in it, 3d
there's some simpler/cheaper applications for the specific purpose of simple house design work though - but i can't remember any on the spot
