whats the setup procedure for imgburn with a pioneer 111D?
Just locate image and hit burn or do i need to set up book type?
The booktype automatically seems set to dvd+dl and there is no option for a pioneer burner.

I've burnt three verbatim dvds at 2,4x speed, all have had random dirty disc messages throughout my playing the game, this is the only game i've ever had dirty discs with (and i've burnt pretty much every single xbox 360 game released). And to be honest, I don't think they are faulty burnt. I've burnt 5 other games today, in between reburning the darkness, all works flawlessly, except for the darkness.
I've no idea whatsoever what is causing this to happen. I've burnt using both imgburn and clonecd. My 360 is not even warm when playing, neither is the dvd-rom.
I'm using the 5.3 firmware and i've got a pal console with a samsung drive.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? It is so farking weird. Someone said I should update my firmware, but twobells has a updated firmware, so I don't think that's the problem.
And I've got the pioneer 111d drive.

It's just a tricked up ntsc disk image.
The diskname is XG2DVD-NTSC.
Guaranteed if I can see it so can MS in ban-land.
And i STILL get unreadable 'dirty'.
With 3 different 360's. ALL PAL.
3 different fw, three different drives.
Used cloneCD 5.2 and Imgburn 2.1.0
On verbatim x4 media.

Sorted, seems that the .dvd file is not being created in some versions of winrar.
Just use mulleteer 9 to extract the .dvd file from the .iso or write one in notepad inputting the correct layer break.
Check the disk size, if its smaller it means the disk structure is incorrect and won't boot.
Silly me I didn't bother checking.
Thanks for everyone's input, it helped.

Me2....

And the darkness is the only game who said "unreadable disc, plz clean disc".
This happened after playing for like 2 hours, and i always get this msg after a certain cutscene...

I dont get it. My Darkness had a .dvd file?
but you are saying that i need to recheck the size of the disc anyways, that it has burned wrong in some way?
this seems strange as i've burned quite alot of games without any strange problems.

I'm having no problems with disc structure or the .dvd file. Still totally random dirty disc messages occuring, some take an hour in between, some just appear after 10 minutes of gameplay. Some reocur at the same times. What is this crap?

Stupid question really but have the people are using clone CD or imgBurn set the layer break to 1913760?

Yes it is since the layer break is already set in the dvd file.

Of course, i think the game wouldn´t even start if the layerbrake wouldn´t be correct.
There is something else wrong with this one. My first game ever to get this kind of freezing.
Mine is hitachi PAL by the way

a few golden rules to help the super fucking retarded mong that is twobells:
1. use media that works with the drive.
2. burn at lowest speed possible
3. when burning make sure to leave the pc, and do not use any cpu resources that could sap the burning buffer
4. make sure the dvd burner's bitlayer is set to dvd-rom
5. burn using the .dvd file that contains the correct layerbreak
I follow these rules, and have never had a bad burn and my games work. I do not use ixtreme firmware.

Seems they didn't teach you reading at your special school, people already had burnt off many perfect images until this one.
Also seems they didn't teach you any manners at that school either.....

MasterJuba, after burning over 40 games i think i know how to burn a working game, and what
discs work for me etc. etc. So still wondering what´s so special about this one ? Random freezes
sometimes in 3mins , sometimes takes an hour...

same issue here with the above release gets to the first cutscene at game start and comes up with dirty disc error FW Xtreme 5.2C or D forget checked .DVD file my xbox is PAL and has Sammy drive. Tried burning at 2.4x and 1x on media that I have had no problems with on last 40 or so burns with other games. Wierd this one am going to give up.
Tried burning with nero, clonecd and xbox backup creator all failed using pioneer 111D.
Don't think that its me as many others seem to be having same problem here and elsewhere.
Go figure?? :/

I'm along the lines of thinking this is a firmware issue rather than an iso problem.
I need to check what version I'm running but its a hitachi x79 drive burned on an NEC using imgBurn and verb discs.
About halfway through and so far not one crash. Not tried online yet (due to hitachi drive).
