Went out and bought this one mainly for the online play. It's the same old re-hash as usual, slightly updated grpahics with a few new features as far as franchise play goes. Still an excellent game IMO, but it would be nice to see some competition for EA, i.e. ESPN football. No regrets here as far as dropping a little cash for it though, $35 alone is worth the online play.

Don't bash American football you silly Euros, you dont hear me telling you how pussified "soccer" is do you? Oops, I just did... Find a real sport to fight over you silly twats Wink

BTW Gamespot screenshots don't do this game justice. I swear they use the lowest settings possible w/o any AA or AF. Makes every game they review look like absolute shit!

Whats the need of a full release?

Why not just release the crack.. I can understand if it was right after the clone came out but its been out for days.. everyone and anyone has the clone (those who don't, tough) .. I've never been a Clone guy either.. so I'm not pop'n that format.. but a whole release for a crack?

jeez..

dont get this game if you already have madden 2004. madden 2005 is the same shit just with a few new minor features. EA just could've made a huge update patch for madden 2004 which included these new features. what's the point of making 2005? man, they should've skipped this year and make 2006 way better and different, i hope. btw, soccer is boring. how can you guys sit and watch a game for hours when the ball is kicked back and forth and the score is 1-0 or even sometimes tied (0-0)??? that is some gay shit!!! and what's up with those tackles??? some guy gets tackled and holds his leg like his is in a hell of a pain. but just a few seconds later, he gets up like nothing happened. these soccer players should also get oscars for their acting performances.

About the only thing that makes this release worth it is if you don't already have a madden game. Now don't get me wrong... you SHOULD have a madden game... it's really good. If you're American, it seems. Looks like a few of us hate it just because it's American football. In this case, don't download it and don't waste a second of your time whining about how much it sucks compared to European Football.

Aside from that, it's one of the best (and only) football games for the PC for us Americans, but it would be to your advantage to have some sorta game controller to play it with... using hte keyboard is painful.

Best NFL game. Period! Graphics, gameplay are perfect. Improved from last years. Not as many turnovers, more realistic and CLOSE games. PS2 Controller would not configure correctly. I had to use my old GraVis GamePad--worked great. Highly Recommended. And no, the CD is not required...

From past experience on the console, Madden has always been the top Football game. Although it just got some competition when ESPN 2k5 put their price at 20 bucks. Really interested to see how this plays on the PC
