Right, So I used to play vanguard when it was released. That was like ages ago. I'm tempted to give it a go again, but Im pretty sure it has very few players. If im not all wrong it only has 2 servers left.

So my question now is - anyone know how many player it has?

its still active, ive not played it for about 5mnths now, but was nice to see how my pc today could handle its downsides on performance, infact it ran fine, all u had was the loading to get down on a new main area but that was graphical only loadings... Once done no problems.. I level'd a Disciple to mid 50's and its a heck of a class to play. ( as one of them rat races Very Happy )

People get put off by the initial starting tutorial island which is good but it has nothing on the mainlands, its so different in feel and atmosphere/gfx once you get that out the way..

I used to go back and forth to the game and never get off the starter area, but since I did and stuck it out my view of the game and its mechanics ( crafting for one ) changed alot.

I bought it on steam when it was like real dirt low in offer price, but I can never stick to one mmo to long I always play a fair range of them to keep things fresh.. One day im sure ill log back in as long as soe dont do anything more silly with the game.

Trouble with the game and population though is the land masses are so large in area compared to other games for most part, that it can seem quiet alot in places.. But when I was playing those mnths back it was not really an issue..

Thats actually why I was concidering to give it a go. It's actually cheaper to buy it on steam than reactivate my old account Razz €5 or so on steam atm.

But do you know where I can find out how many still play it?

Thats what I did Very Happy cause it was cheaper than reactivating lol. thing is I did not get all the veteran rewards then Sad

No idea about actual figures for it its prob not huge though but for new people trying it out, for a long time until i finaly left the starter areas, there was always a full sitting on the newbie land mass testing out the game...

wether they made the jump to full retail/carried on etc, is another matter I cant be sure of.

As said alot of people get put off by starting on the tutorial island etc, but its worth doing as you get some nice final items that boost xp and stuff to wear, and the weapon you get etc is worth it also... you will probably need a group to do the final temple but again that wasnt a problem when I run it a few times, was plenty about to do that..

Anyhow at that cost your not loosing much eh if u dont want to play Very Happy

I really enjoyed VG. They had the most interesting AND fun classes than most MMO's I've played.

The finishing moves for each class just added icing to the cake. All classes could kick some ass with a reasonable party makeup, not just the dps ones.
