Focus Home Interactive has launched the official website of Magrunner: Dark Pulse, the action/reflection game that is being developed by 3AM (Frogwares) for PC, Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network, along with 5 new screenshots. Developed on Unreal Engine 3, Magrunner promises to transport players into the near future, where technology will confront the Cthulhu Mythos as it was imagined by the author of fantasy novels, H.P. Lovecraft

Kind of disappointed by the trailer. I though it will be more focused on Cthulhu mythos than puzzle gameplay.

im a big lovecraft fan, but i have never been able to get into anything mixing sci-fi/futuristic or even modern settings with the mythos. it must be my inner hipster or something. it was way cooler before it was cool Mr. Green

Fuck the visuals, give me more FPP puzzle games any day. Looks great, hope it has equally great map design (and an editor for that matter).

Nearly the entire first act of this early-access version works as a tutorial, towards the end you'll see some more advanced levels and the last accessible level in particular is a welcome change of pace. Smile

Unsure about editor support but it would definitively help to have custom maps available.

EDIT: Oh and cubes.

HL2? More like HL0.1 Very Happy The loading after every THAT tiiiiiiiiiiiiny chamber is outdated by 90s standards Laughing

This seems to be the only puzzle game that gives me trouble. I'm 3-4 chambers in and I don't understand how to proceed Scratch Head Since this is supposed to be the tutorial I suppose I haven't understood the mechanics very well? Confused

edit nvm I'm blind Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

edit the chambers become bigger later.
