There is going to be an announcement at this years E3, that GOW will be ported to PC. Here's a note to prove it (in Polish, couldn't find it in English).

And here's a REAL movie about the bonus content that will be in the PC version:

I also noticed it a few days ago, but I quickly dismissed it as w33d effects (mine or nvidia devs)
What a timing, right after the Microsoft X360 sales report. Guess they sold enough Xbox's (ok 11,6 of 12 mill.) now they can take away GOW's exclusive state. Money whores...
This afternoon, I was reading in this april edition of a certain pc gaming magazine and they confirmed that GoW was/is coming to pc.. Talk about a coincidence.
The Windows Live shit doesn't have any good game to lead it. Shadowrun is a flop and nobody wants an old game such as Halo 2 to lead this new Vista feature. GOW is the perfect candidate...supposedly. The problem is that the Xbox 360 is mostly bought by competitive gamers who mostly care about having a higher score while PCs owner are not only about competition. The Windows Live crap is all about competition and this explains why it doesn't work as well as the Xbox Live. And I'm not mentionning the fact that you have to pay for a service that has been free for us since the birth of PCs. Without a good competitive game, Windows Live won't sell. They thought they could win it with a strictly competitive game such as Shadowrun but its sales base was established off of RPG fans. Halo 2 has a problem; it's old and ugly. So they needed a competitive game that looks amazing; GOW. Porting the game won't be a problem since Unreal 3 runs naturally on PC so it's all about the new content and trust me this new content will sell copies of GOW.
EDIT: Valve is working on expanding its Steam system to make it similar to Windows Live / Xbox Live. Steam has already an amazing game list, I wonder how strong this blow will be on Windows Live...
it ran pretty good on 6800U in sli mode
wonder how it will run on a single 8800GTS
btw they could release it on pc at the same time with 360, but exclusivity kicked in as always
Wasn't the news of GOW coming to the PC known a few months back?
Back in November 2006, the following image of a mocked-up "Games for Windows" retail display, clearly showing a PC version of GoW, was seen in PC Gamer magazine:
This image was supplied to the magazine directly from Microsoft, but after the magazine was out, Microsoft came out and had this bullshit excuse saying that the image was a simple mistake, and not any sort of announcement or hint that GoW was being ported to PC. I called bullshit on them at the time, and have believed for the past 8 months that it would hit PC eventually, and, like many others, I was clearly right.
GoW was made for 360. That means dx9 and no dx10 stuff. And we've seen that 360 games can be successfully converted to pc without needing dx10, (lost planet even has same engine).
Now, since ms is publisher it's still gona be Vista exclusive since they need a good game to sell live-vista bullshit, but an unofficial xp patch could be made.
