Hi,

So I've been playing numerous loot type of games and I found myself shocked that how people are concerned about "endgame" content. I'm playing Borderlands3 (for half a year now, in SP only) and I couldn't care less about endgame content.
After you finished the story with every quest/collectible it's over, isn't it?
No matter how you twist it the game will come to an end.

Also going my simple stupid logic: once I have finished the game with one of the characters (in this case for example Moze) I restart the game with a different one, and that's it.

(BTW i have tried B3 in Multiplayer but it was terrible)

I'm not sure what's the point of this thread. Mr. Green

You approach Borderlines 3 as a singleplayer experience, this is the kind of experience form which people mostly expect some sort of closure. Online games however are meant to keep players engaged for months if not years. This is especially true about games that are built around loot.

the power of GaaS Yolo design, (not just) online shlooters (d)evolved into .....
nowadays gamers needs them timed events , battlepussies, and random "engame" to be able to enjoy games for some reason and companies need them to play their games forever to sell them mtx

Endgame matters in online/MMO games. Doesn't matter in a single-player title like BL3.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

It is over when you have completed all content the game has to offer and you are wearing best available loot.

Endgame is overrated. It's fine for people that are into that kinda stuff, but for me it's a boring grind. This is the one thing I don't like with action RPG's. Those games usually have an easy main campaign without the option to increase difficulty the first playthrough and this feels like the real stuff has yet to come. But I always lose interest after a couple of hours playing 'endgame' cause seen that, done that, no fun grinding for loot repeating the same content over and over again, while at the same time being left with the feeling that the one playthrough could be better with a proper difficulty.

Take borderlands 3, the first playthrough you don't get the option to adjust the difficulty and the first playthrough it is way to easy like you don't even have to take cover to survive. I only died falling of cliffs and that kinda stuff (and i'm not a pro gamer by far) Why force people to play through the whole game before offering a chalange?

Tbh endgame for most mp games is shit nowadays since most companies want infinite amounts of money from the consumers pocket with minimal effort. Since most publishers push devs to shit out halfbaked games thinking that "endgame content" can be tacked on later to keep the players engaged most of those games fail from the start.

Endgame content was fun when it wasnt a focus for publishers to milk the consumers but for players themselves to keep them busy by devs who just wanted their games to have longelivity.
