|
 |
In a website there's this blue table showin' off new E Series models from Intel's New Cpu's,'sides of tellin' us that a new Price Cut to "ALL" Intel Core 2 Duo CPU's will be done..
Here's the new http://www.techpowerup.com/?31180
But in the table they just put the new CPU's and some actual ones,i guess...
The question is: Will the price cut affect E6600 model and others too?...i was thinkin' of gettin' that hot babe ASAP it was cutted...
Besides: Will the price cut affect international market too?

Intel cuts its prices twice a year, it affects ALL CPU's, but the amounts cut differ.

i've got a stupid question...
For example,i've got 3 1GB RAM's of 4 in my 975XBX intel MoBo and they all have 533mhz (or whatever),and the people at the shop told me that no matter if it has 633 or 1088mhz (dunno exactly),they'll still run at the 533mhz mentioned before
Now here's the question: The same MoBo,supports Core2Duo 1033FSB...if i buy one of the newest C2D's at 1333Mhz,will it run still thou only at 1033FSB or my MoBo will explode and die?

your mobo supports all current cpu's, not sure about 1333fsb however
if u mean this INTEL XEON 5335/2.00GHz/1333FSB/8M cpu then why do u need it for server?
just get Intel Core 2 Duo E6320(S775, 1,86Ghz, 1066MHz FSB, 4MB) and overclock the hell out of it
here is review http://xtreview.com/review192.htm

New E6750, 6850 and 6550 are a steal. Those prices are very tempting for such powerful cpus. The only problem from the higher FSB and lower multiplier is the less headroom for overclocking. If you are not an overclocker or at least a die hard one, go for these chips.

Yes, this is worldwide. Only difference is how they implement them by how much in each place...

Q6600 looks nice. May have to bite the bullet once the demand settles down. Looking for the G0 stepping of this cpu and cheapest price available in the US. Best chance to get a G0 is at ncixus.com. Hopefully the old B3 stepping will be gone soon. I may possibly upgrade by the end of August to replace my E6600.

RubberChicken wrote: | You can always sit and wait for something better just around the corner :s | When you have an E6600 i think that it is better to wait a few months to get something really new and interesting for your money, this is not like if the performance gap with the Q6600 was amazing and that the E6600 was dragging him down... But ofc if you don't care of the performance gain/price ratio nothing prevents you such upgrade.

If you want something good enough for your stuff,E6600
If you're a beast and you wanna waste time for something u can't take yet profit of it,get a new mobo and the Q6600...
My recommendation: E6600...if u dun wanna change MoBo
