i've got a huge problem with this!!..i need instant help!

Today i've bought an Intel Core2Duo E6600 CPU,with 1066mhz FSB,2,4Ghz and 4MB L2 Cache

Well you see, when i removed the old CPU (a Pentium D 3Ghz) and put the new one, then the Thermaltake BigTyph 120VX Fan,when i pressed the ON button the PC turned on but the screen was INTACT...no image nor logos nor nothing..and after some minutes nor the Windows Audio was heard...

Any solutions anyone?..BIOS is at Version 1479

Perhaps you need a BIOS update to support C2D?

I am not sure if I am understanding your doubt...can you even boot into Windows or you can't even see anything on your pc when you press the button? Well, anyways...try to clear the bios..look in the motherboard manual how to do it.

With the E6600 the screen becomes black and nothing can be heard from the speakers some minutes after...

On another forum they told me my Mother Board's revision (-302) is NOT compatible with C2D...even if Intel's site says it IS...

Thx anyways..

Would you recommend me the P5K Deluxe Mother board from ASUS as a new MotherBoard?
