About This Game

Team up to operate an advanced starship and explore a randomized galaxy falling into chaos. Each player assumes a role aboard the ship: Captain, Pilot, Scientist, Weapons Specialist and Engineer. Coordination between your crewmembers will be essential in order to survive the perils that await you.

Control the various stations that run your ship. Reroute power between ship systems, scan alien planets for lifeforms, run powerful programs to change the tide of battle, or start up the warp drive to escape a conflict you cannot win. The strategies you use are up to you—or your Captain.

Embark on missions, investigate abandoned stations, and scavenge for components that could aid you in your voyage. Teleport down to the surfaces of alien planets, where you may face extreme environments and dangerous creatures. Trek across the galaxy, and discover what lies on its fringes.

PULSAR: Lost Colony is our attempt to create a fully cooperative space-faring experience, because it’s one of the games we've always wanted to play.

------------------------------------------

A friend of mine found this Gem 3 days ago, and we tried it..
We where all sitting in teamspeak and had a blast of a game.
I wonder why noone else came up with an game idea like this, its the most imersive game i ever played kind of.. The Teamplay is awesome, after everyone knows what to do.
We spend like one hour to get to know everything and then we where on our way to explore the universe..

Playing this game with some good friends, is like playing an episode of Star Trek.

I urge you guys to try it.. Very Happy

EDIT:

oh, and by the way...
The Game is DRM free and works right out of teh Box..

Actual Game version atm is: Beta4.2

In my opinion, it's because it becomes a chore and no longer a game, but something else.

this looks really fun but the heavy pricetag is a bit over-the-top. Since Beasts of Prey (which i spend 15 bucks on and is in development limbo), Planet Explorers (will surely get dropped soon) and The Dead Linger (didn`t buy because it was too expensive and looked like a demogame i made with a buddy in 2002) i won`t shell out any money for EA games that might never make it.

Now, I don't know what hardware costs in Poland, I guess it's cheaper because everything is stolen from Germany and resold...

A new beta update for Planet Explorers just came out today, what makes you say it will be dropped soon?
