City Interactive is bringing Alien Rage, a new sci-fi, “arcade-style” first-person shooter, to Steam, PSN, Live Arcade. Developed by the publisher’s Bydgoszcz studio and powered by the Unreal Engine 3, it promises “visceral, non-stop, run-and-gun action.”
In Alien Fear, players assume the role of a highly trained elite commando on a mission of sabotage. Described as “a sustained burst of arcade aggression,” the game will feature “adrenaline-filled, close quarter combat,” “beautifully composed sci-fi vistas,” and some sort of co-op.
Alien Rage will be available via digital distribution later this year
Well, I need to play crappy and low-budgeted games from time to time, so I can easily past the time, and CI seem to be the right developer for this kind of entertainment.
Well, it was way too easy for the sake of the presentation. Almost all games that get to be showcased officially by their representatives are being played on easy or with god mode on.
One final interesting tidbit of information comes from the game's pricing structure. For the PSN and XBLA version, Alien Rage will be $15. For the PC version, though, it'll be $20. When we inquired about the price difference, we were told that it's because the PC version will feature a multiplayer component, which the console versions will not have at launch. It is still up for consideration, though, but it looks like the PC version will initially be more complete, and the price reflects that.
Alien Rage looks interesting and plays pretty well. With only a few more months to go before its September release, here's hoping the final product is as fun as the demo
