YIIK is a Colorful 3D JRPG set in the 1990s, about eight strangers, a mysterious woman who vanishes in an elevator, and weaponized Panda plashes.
*When recent college graduate Alex Eggleston returns home from college, he finds adult life to be filled with mystery, strange friends from the internet, and other worlds that exist just out of sight.
After following a hideous cat into an ordinary old building, Alex’s life takes a series of strange turns that leads him to www.onism1999.com, an English-language imageboard website. On this strange site users post anonymously, on the topic of conspiracies, disappearances, the occult, and otherworldly happenings.
Alex finds a terrifying and surreal video of a woman he had previously met in the old building.
The footage is simple. A young woman in business attire gets on an elevator, she presses the button for the 18th floor. The elevator doors shut. She looks around, as if talking to someone. She then presses another button, and then another… until every floor has been selected. She starts laughing, and is lifted from the floor, violently slamming into the walls.
The elevator comes to a stop, and the doors open. A bright light floods the camera, and she is pulled out of the elevator.
Alex, and a group of ONISM1999 users begin to research the video, and the adventure of YIIK begins.
In YIIK, journey across an expansive flat-shaded wonderland, rife with with intricate puzzles, fast paced turn based 8 party-member battles, cat tossing, panda dropping, ladder throwing action.

So it's a hipster RPG for the Starbucks crowd. "Looks great".
Oh you're certainly correct about it appealing to hipsters, when the main cast of this game all appear to fit into that bracket. Personally I can't see myself getting emotionally invested with any of the characters enough so for me to even want to install this, and to be frank the music and vibe of the game just put me right off.. i concur "wtf" I think i'll pass on this one
Really, even the "multicultural cast" is present on one of those trailers. Theres 2 black dudes, 2 women, one of them asian, the white nerd... Shit, that should even make Bioware squint
What the hell is this Social Justice Wankery? They didn't ask for consent before looking in the direction of a #Stunning and #Brave #Powerful #Independent #Womyn, so therefore they're creepers and perverts.
The conspiracies unfold on January 17th 2019 with the arrival of YIIK: A Postmodern RPG, the surreal Japanese-style RPG from Ackk Studios and Ysbryd Games coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Steam.
