I see that Games Workshop continuous their great plan to ruin the franchise.

As far as I remember they signed seven new video games deals back then, and revealed three so far: Warhammer Online, Warhammer Quest for iOS and this one. I'm not even mad

Can anyone tell me why Games Workshop can't just release a Warhammer/40k game that is basically the table top classic game but on my computer so all the complicated parts of playing that game are just calculated by my thing called the computer?
Seriously, I'm so fucking tired of all these 40k games that aren't just the fucking tabletop game but in a digitized format on my PC.

GW has no interest in doing that. They make a lot of money from the tabletop games, mainly from the figures and paint. Why would they cannibalize that?

I think that Cyanide's "Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon" will be just that, a tabletop gone pc.. but.. i somehow doubt these guys..

You'd think that at *least* they could make the game look splendid rather than simply reusing the DoW1 and DoW2 models :\

Storm of Vengeance tells the story of a pivotal moment in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, during the legendary planetary conflict on Piscina IV. Featuring two of Games Workshop's most cherished characters, Grand Master Belial and Ork Warlord Ghazghkull Thraka, Storm of Vengeance offers the player the chance to command the tenacious defence of the planet with only 100 Dark Angel Space Marines, or attempt it’s annihilation using the cunning of the Ork Waaagh! and their telly-porta technology.
"Storm of Vengeance sees Eutechnyx working with one of the most established brands in gaming" said Eutechnyx CEO, Darren Jobling. "I am very excited that our new partnership with Games Workshop will allow us to bring the world of Warhammer 40,000 to dedicated fans around the world via our new mobile division."
"Eutechnyx are an extremely professional established developer with a proven track record of successful licensed products" said Jon Gillard Head of Licensing for Games Workshop "The game they’re creating based on this iconic conflict from the Warhammer 40,000 mythos is another great example of talented developers applying their passion for the IP in a compelling and imaginative game design."

Yet look at how much money they are passing up by not offering such a thing. They could offer the base game for free like Magic does and then charge for the units. It would rake in the cash, and the fans who still enjoy the physical game would keep playing it.

A new one. So I think this makes 4. The Slitherine game, the card game, the Eternal Crusade MMO, and now this.
-edit or 5...a developer on another forum told me he has former colleagues who are working on a 40K game that hasn't been announced yet.

Yes, mobile and MOBA, it's like all the cancer condensed into a single game. (as if the other MMO, iOS and card games under development weren't enough). It's incredible really..
