I'm confused. If the game is finished and ready, to which you can purchase from Steam right now, what on Earth was the Kickstarter project about? They say it was about releasing prematurely or running out of funds.. but here we are, four months after the failed KS and the game is on Steam proper - not Early Access - and appears to be complete. Did they secure external funding or something?

Reading the steam forums it seems the game isn't complete and is more or less a scam.
The game ends abruptly with a "To be continued" and stuff you use in the tutorial doesn't even exist in the game. No wonder these clowns who lied like crazy about nuclear dawn pulls an even worse stunt

That could explain how/why they were able to put out the "full game" so quickly after a failed Kickstarter. It's a damned shame for all involved, developers and especially gamers, so perhaps this should have been released on Early Access? Could have sold the game "as-is" and generated some extra funding to improve it?

what a pity.. I'd gladly play a game with a space setting and this one, it looked nice.

I've just watched the video above. lol.. what was that? that was abrupt ;D
I feel kinda sorry for devs;) the game certainly looks nice.
At the very least they could have named it Episode 1  I dunno..

It's a goddamn shame about the KS campaign failing though... not even $7k of the $50k needed

That couldn't be any more abrupt if it tried. Oh wait, yes it could, because before this was patched it was just a "To be continued" message 
Seriously, this needed to have been on Early Access, at least then people would know what they were getting into and the devs could *legitimately* earn some money whilst working on the rest.. instead of now, which looks for all the world to be a hell of a rip off.
